AD-X Part I: Booking it Across Sweden

Oh Scandinavia, how I love you.
God morgen everyone! My travels through Sweden and Finland are at an end, for the moment. If there's one thing I've learned during the past week it's that I will be back for much more extensive travels. Due to the sheer volume of awesome things that took place this week, it will once more be broken into bite-sized chunks. And now, without further ado, Day 1.

We assembled at Frue Plads at the painfully early hour of 7:30. Once again, living in the center of the city is extraordinarily convenient sometimes. Took the ferry from Helsingør, next to Hamlet's castle, over to Sweden. Funnily enough, our ferry was called the Hamlet. Creative right?
G'morning Hamlet.
After disembarking we drove for an unknown number of hours to St. Petri's Church, a fairly interesting brick building. Very dark inside, so of course none of my pictures really came out.
This picture however came out quite well.
Much more driving ensued after this point, during which we passed Stig's Auto Shop. Sadly I was too slow with the camera. We stopped in Gränna for lunch, which is a beautiful little town perched on a hill just above a fjord.
Hills. Such a welcome change from the flatness of Denmark.
Fjord!

Driving continued, though seemingly endless pine and birch forests. It really is a beautiful country. I was trying to figure out what the landscape looked like, and really narrowed it down to a combination of the Adirondacks, Maine, Newfoundland, Washington and Oregon. After hours we finally arrived in Stockholm, where we boarded the Amorella of the Viking Cruise Line for an overnight voyage to Turku, Finland. The dinner buffet was glorious, as was pretty much everything else about taking an overnight cruise across the Baltic and up into a fjord. A grand time was had by all.
Oh hey there floating hotel.
